Our History
The Bio Parco di Santa Chiara agricultural enterprise is part of the Insenga Azzaro Group. Founded in 2015 by Simona Bertoli and her husband Andrea Insenga Azzaro, the company immediately took an interest in almond cultivation, a traditional farming tradition of the local communities of the Val di Noto. After a preliminary study to identify the best botanical characteristics and agronomic techniques for the initial planting, the new almond trees were planted in the winter of 2017 on approximately 12 hectares of rustic land purchased by the company in Contrada Renna, in the Noto countryside (SR). Respect for the ecosystem and care for the environment drove the young company to produce its products exclusively organically. Over the years, the company has grown both in terms of cultivated agricultural area and varietal biodiversity. Not only almonds, but also olives, carobs, bees, and livestock farming complete the range of activities carried out in rural areas.

The company, in addition to the certifications as an Organic farming operator and as a producer of EVO oil Monti Iblei D.O.P., benefits from the certification system ISO 9001:2015 for corporate management systems.
From May 2026, in implementation of Regional Law no. 21 of 29 July 2021, the Company was also entered in the regional register of Agroecological Companies, confirming its commitment to applying ecological principles to food production. The goal is to operate well and with quality, offering the end customer a high level of products and services, aimed at improving their satisfaction.
